What’s poppin? What’s good?? What it is??? Whaasssaaaaappppp??
Recognize that introduction? Yes? No? Are you confused? Let’s back up.
19-year-old Youtube sensation Kellie Sweet engages her 1 million+ subscribers nearly everyday with this signature video introduction. Kellie creates videos pertaining to fashion, beauty, lifestyle, comedy and more; and we have to admit it, she’s pretty damn funny (Oh, and sweet of corse)! Last week on a humid LA afternoon (I know, that statement was basically an oxymoron), Kellie and Style Barre’s creative team hit the streets of downtown to create a killer visual production, and we were lucky enough to learn a little but about Kellie while doing so.
How do you come up with new ideas for channel content? Where do you find your inspiration?
Just living. Just walking around or I could be in a situation and I’ll think 'Oh that would be a funny skit.' It just comes to me through visuals and through living
At first glance, Jewelry Designer Justine Cullen looks like a badass rock n’ roll firecracker with her delicate punk style and choppy bangs. And yes, there is a badass rock n’ roll firecracker tucked inside her petite 5’2 frame. But after having a conversation with Justine, I was able to see past her rough exterior; her mystical essence, eclectic background and down-to-earth stature conveyed that she was much more than your average jewelry designer.
Even as a now well-known jewelry designer, handcrafting custom pieces with names like Maverick and Phoenix Rising, Justine has not lost her roots or sense of self. “When creating jewelry, I really like to feel a connection within myself; something that brings out inner strength,” states Justine, who draws a lot of inspiration from the different environments she’s circled through, which are quite a few to say the least.

On June 10th, Snoop Dogg and Joy Rich collaborated to create the ultimate 90’s hip-hop inspired collection. Walking into the dimly lit event deck, I was surrounded by old school Cadillac’s, street signs, and people decked out in their most glam street wear. With the words “Merry Jane” projected on the screen, the stench filled hazy air was booming with anticipation. Was Snoop really going to try to follow up Opening Ceremony’s show from the day prior? Let me tell you, Snoop did more than impress; the fur jackets, the blue bandanna print, the baggy pants, and the velour tracksuits (my god, the velour tracksuits!) left the audience in awe.As an iconic figure of 90’s hip-hop, Snoop’s collection was authentic to the absolute core. Snoop, what can I say; you’re collection embodied everything that you are. Thank you for a fantastic show. Xoxo

What inspires you in fashion?
Just having fun. Just expressing myself through clothes and being able to play different roles everyday.
What inspires your style for the day?
Just whatever pops in my head that day. I'm really spontaneous. I know a lot of people in the fashion industry, they follow certain designers and certain trends but I don't follow them as much as I should. I just kind of do whatever I want.
Who is your biggest celebrity style influencer and why?
I would probably say Yolandi from Die Antwoord. I think she's really cool. I just love Die Antwoord. Their just really raw and original. I like the stuff that their doing.
